This is a really quick observation but it is, I think, important to share this kind of thing.
I know that when my baby is born I can expect to get covered in radioactive excrement, puked upon and denied sleep for several years at a time. I don't expect it will be expecially pleasant at the time, but I will deal with it and just get on with it. There will be other things, similarly nasty at the time for which I will need to develop a stoic outlook.
But please, can the fontanelle not pulse when s/he breathes..? It would really freak me out!

I remember when our friend's baby was born and we were holding him and Dad_to_be got totally freaked out because the baby's head was pulsating! He knew babies had a soft spot on their heads but I don't think he realised it had a pulse - the look on his face was classic!!!!!
