Just a short note to remark on the fact that this is the hundreth entry on this blog. It was Day 29 when we first found out K___ was pregnant.
Things have changed a lot since then. The first few weeks were full of 'baby-narcolepsy' and general illness. Then there was that long period of time where we had this big secret that no one else knew (and which gradually became too big to keep to ourselves and slipped out in dribs and drabs).
The first scan seems simultaneously recent and an age ago. That was twelve weeks. In two day's time, we're going for the anatomy scan at twenty weeks. There was the nuchal scan where we could see the fetus in such clear detail, recognisably human-shaped.
I've written almost exactly 50,000 words in this Blog - this entry may take it over. Actually, K___ wrote a three hundred odd, but regardless, that's a lot of musing about the baby and we're not quite halfway yet.
Ah well. Here's to the next 20 weeks, another 50,000 words and most of all, that everything continues to go well. Thanks for reading.
Slainte!
