Don't Read a Book, Call Up Instead

I'm reading a book. An actual book. With pages. 607 of them to be precise. It is not a magazine. It does not have pictures of celebrities looking fat or thin or lumpy or orange in swimwear or red carpet dresses. It has absolutely nothing to do with babies. It is just a book.

If I search the dusty corners of my mind I seem to remember that I used to read A LOT of these papery pagey things. I own about 1000 of them. Just haven't read one since...16th January 2007. Anyway I am reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince again in preparation for d-day (or should that be HP-day?) 21st July. I cannot wait, but then I have to find more time to read another of those papery things...

  1. Hey Mummy! Thanks for visiting my blog. I always like finding knew places to spend my time at.

As for reading - I promise it will get better. At some point your child/children will be at the age where, when they ask what's for dinner you can say, "Whatever you can find," without even looking up from the page.

    Seriously. I kid you not!

  2. yeh - clara can now do toast or sandwiches for her and her brother, crack an egg, (or seperate it for meringues,) make cereal, pour a glass of milk or water, and she knows where we keep fruit and yogurts. She can also make her own cake mixes which I then bake. She can even fill my percolater with ground coffee and water ready for me to switch it on! Peter can do Toast, peanut butter sandwiches, and some slightly random cake mixes. when they are old enough to come into contact with hot items (kettles pans and ovens) I'm going to read all the Harry Potters in succession amongst many other titles!

  3. You know that saying, "You only have one chance to make a first impression?" Yes, well, I'm afraid my first impression isn't so great. I always like finding knew places...? "knew"?

I'm blaming drugs. Prescription drugs - totally legit. But drugs, nonetheless.
