Have booked a reflexology appointment on Saturday with someone who specializes in maternity treatment. Turns out she is chummy with our midwives so that is recommendation enough for me. As many people who know me will know, I REALLY hate having my feet touched so this is the mark of an increasingly desperate woman! Hopefully if something hasn't already happened tomorrow then the combination of the sweep from the midwife followed by the reflexology should get things moving.
Interestingly, I read today that in France they base estimated due date on 41 weeks rather than 40. Sounds sensible to me as then if you were early you would be happy and the medical world wouldn't start fretting the second you went over. I also read the scary statistic that if carefully monitored you can theoretically go until 44 weeks. I had to lie down in a dark room after reading that one...
