My old boss (motivated, knowledgeable and dedicated beyond the call of duty) from the completely brilliant local authority where I used to work has just emailed me to say that one of the PR people (consummate professional, deserves a massive pay rise) has discovered this blog and duly passed on the URL.
“Really? “ I replied, “How (and why) did she find it? We’ve always been careful not to include our names on it, not because we’ve tried to keep it a secret from people we know, but because of people we don’t. Did I slag the council off?”
And then I scurried off to discover whether I had or not. Having tried all the obvious keywords, I don’t think I have (BECAUSE WHERE I USED TO WORK IS AMAZING AND ABOVE CRITISICM).
My old (wonderful) ex-boss replied (in his own time and not during working hours), “She said she was trawling for her own research... she's due in June I think. I guess she stumbled upon it.
“Only one entry on work and that was yer missus.”
Presumably with a picture of me in it somewhere on the same page. Hmmmm…
So, C____, if you’re reading (again, on your own time because you'd never do that), best of luck with your pregnancy!
