Hold On, Hold On

Fans of my astonishing, groundbreaking films will know that Olivia is very good at batting at things. This evening, when I got in from work, I saw her take it to the next level.

K___ has found a female companion for Mr Whoozit. I don't think there's anything going on. I think it might be his daughter, to be honest. Ah no, they're just friends (allegedly). Perhaps they do fancy each oher after all.

Anyway, now there are two of them, so Olivia has got one of them on either side of the bar on her wobblechair. As you can see from the pic on the left, they both have numerous
appendages. The 'tail' one in both contains some sort of scrunchable plastic that gives a satisfying crackle when held.

From being a girl who could only bat at her Whoozit, this evening I saw a tiny girl reach out with both hands, one to each side, and grab both toys by the tails.

I grant you, in the grand scheme of things, 'grabbing and holding things' is entry level. However, when it increases your party tricks from 'pooping, sleeping and eating' to 'pooping, sleeping, eating and holding stuff,' that's a prety major increase.

All Out at Sea

Now, I will concede that it's yet another video of Olivia batting something, but it's much better shot than the previous ones, she's on her Baby-Gym and it features an octopus, which must surely count for something? Her repertoire of autonomous tricks is pretty restricted to cacking her pants and batting at things at this stage. Count yourselves lucky.

You Strong Enough to Be

Her coordination and strength is definitely much increased. This morning she yanked Mr Whoozit so hard that he came flying off the toy bar of her 'wobble' seat.

Olivia Strikes Back

I've been trying to get the time to do this for a couple of weeks now...

This is a follow up to the award-winnning(*) short 'Olivia and Mr Whoozit', and shows how much her hand to eye co-ordination has come on in such a short period of time. This is in contrast to the shonky camera work from her father, you should note.
