Older than Me

Yesterday we all went off to our old home town to go to a 2nd birthday party for all the babies from our old NCT gang. Olivia is the youngest and the oldest is two months older than her. The kids had a great time playing and seeing who could eat the most cakes!

It was also a chance for Olivia to catch up with her boyfriend G_ - their long-distance relationship seems to be working so far!

Olivia was on her best behaviour and was generally very sweet. As we gathered up our mountain of baby stuff and headed for the door she turned back and said 'Bye bye friends'. Ahhhhhhhh bless!

Most Toys

Today was Olivia's second birthday. She got lots of lovely cards and presents.

We got up early and she played with her new toys. Her main presents were a Teletubbies play set (second hand on Ebay in case you wonder where my principles about no new plastic toys have gone) and a new wooden dolls house.




Later we went off to her regular Friday morning music group, where they all sang 'Happy Birthday' to her. After that we took her to the local play barn place where we met her little friend L_ and her Mum. The girls (and F_) had a great time playing while baby Grace, the mummies and Grandma enjoyed a chat and a cup of tea.

After the older children had come home from school we had a birthday tea with all the family, complete with cake, organic carrot crisps and yummy gingerbread men etc. (you can't be puritanical all the time!)
