That was a slightly forced title there, I grant you, but it's terribly clever and impressive*. You see, day 140 marks Half-a-Baby Day. Yay!
We've grown the whole of the right side. Just the left to go. Or is the top we've got? I don't recall.
Marginally more seriously, halfway there... blimey! In the twenty first week, the baby will weight about three-quarters of a pound and will be approximately 25 cm (10 1/2 inches) long. Or, if you use another site she's going to weigh about 1.1 pounds and be about 17 cm (6.8 inches). Or perhaps it's about a metre long and weight eight tonnes. I give up with these bloody online sites. They're completely inconsistent.
The eyebrows and eyelids are fully developed. I do know that. They all agree on that.
I asked K___ what she associated with being 50% there. She said:
Asked to give four words to describe how she feels she said, 'Happy, nervous, excited and impatient.' I'm a bit surprised that she didn't say how unimpressed she's been with pregnancy, because generally, although it's been straightforward, I think she finds these women who love being pregnant a bit fucking odd. Still, only another 140 days to go.
It'll be over before we know it.
* Oh yes it is. I know all about rap. Or hip hop. Whatever it is that 50 Cent does. I am down with thekids homies and you can't say otherwise, beyatch...

- Itchy tummy - This is the growing pains.
- Tiredness - She's not sleeping at night. She goes to sleep at normal times again but is insomniac. I don't think she's terribly impressed about this...
- Baby moving - Several times a day, every day now.

Being pregnant...there were things about it that I loved & that I thought were completely magical.
