Since, as I write this, it is underway, it's probably okay to reveal that K___ has gone to a surprise baby shower for our friend S___ tonight. Hopefully she'll be happy about however many people turning up at her house unnanounced!
Baby showers are a very American idea that seem to be slowly catching on over here. One has to hope that unlike our take on fast food - slow, expensive and served by the catastropically unmannered - or Hallowe'en - youths throwing eggs at the doors of people who refuse to give them a million pounds - we manage to make a slightly better job of the concept.
K___ took along a whole-earth, acoustic guitar-playing, lentil and mung bean munching 'organic baby grow' as a present. Who would have known such things exist? But exist they do...
