Tidy Your Room and Straight to Bed

The lovely Mrs W. wondered via the comments why we had put Olivia's cot-bed up in our room if we were only going to have to take it down agan to get it out of the room. The root of this problem is that although we knew from about last May that we were going to have a baby, and that one day the day would come when she would grow out of her crib, we didn't do anything about it till now. As Olivia grew into a big strong girl the crib started wobbling alarmingly everytime she lay and kicked and I began to fear that one day she would wobble herelf and the crib into a broken pile on the floor. So we decided to bite the bullet and put up her cot-bed which had been flat-packed in the study. This is great and despite the compulsory sweary DIY the cot-bed is lovely and she seems very happy in it.

The only problem, as you may have spotted from the photo is that Mummy can no longer open her wardrobe. This isn't a huge problem as the clothes contained in the wardrobe no longer fit Mummy now that her tummy resembles a large wobbly jelly but she likes to think that one day she may wear them again and this will necessitate being able to open the cupboard doors again. It now becomes clear that our two nedroom flat must be just that, a two bedroom not bedroom and study flat. Poor Daddy M and his most beloved computer are being turfed out onto the landing so that Olivia can have her own room. This post is the start of a new thread, stolen shamelessly from our blogging Chum the lovely Lainey-Paney. We will chart the progress of the nursery over the coming weeks.

As you can see from the photos we really have some work ahead of us...
